Unphazed - a film by Jason Scott Goddard
UNPHAZED
Set upon a fishing dock an adopted young boy named Jonathan shares with a couple of his friends the intriguing secret to his UNCLE GABRIEL’S success. This story takes his friends on a hair raising journey back to when his adoptive UNCLE GABRIEL encountered a very mysterious man that would change his life forever, the CORNERMAN.
The CORNERMAN wasn’t anything like Gabriel could have ever imagined, he happens to be the manifestation of GABRIEL'S mother's ordeal. Some would say that GABRIEL’S mother may have been under some sort of terrible generational curse (Exodus Ch. 20). In fact, she’s recently buried two of her three sons, then her husband, causing a volatile nervous breakdown which leads to her subsequent, untimely demise.
Just as her hopes and dreams collapsed, her sole survivor, GABRIEL, encounters the CORNERMAN, on his way home, at the Pinnacle. The Pinnacle was an old abandoned, run down building across town, which once was a church, but it had become such an "eye-sore", the MAYOR OF THE CITY orders it demolished. That's when the CORNERMAN appears, who not only saves the old Pinnacle, but even restores and transforms it into a nostalgic boxing gym to train the many fatherless troubled young men in the evenings.
These guys would come out in droves to learn how to box, but his real mission was even greater. However, there was just one problem, MR. BOLO, DOMONIC A. BOLO (his friends call him D.A. for short.).
MR. D.A. BOLO, the successful entrepreneur who seemed to have it all, like "loads of charisma, money certainly was no object. Just look at his private jet, or that $10 million dollar yacht over in the Marina. MR. BOLO had the most beautiful homes, cars and women...you name it! Folks would say "he’s like Donald Trump on STERIODS!”
Like the CONERMAN, MR. BOLO also had a passion for boxing. In fact, you’d find him out in Las Vegas or Atlantic City. Wherever that championship bout was, you'd see MR. BOLO and his son taking in all the action. This man enjoyed nothing more than seeing two men climb into the ring, trying to literally destroy each other. While returning from one of his trips, MR. BOLO decides to convert one of his many properties "one of his warehouses" into an upscale, state of the art, training center primarily for boxers, and just like the CORNERMAN, MR. BOLO would also invite new recruits, only they didn’t know his real agenda until it was too late.
As the story unfolds we find that MR. BOLO is actually out to destroy the CORNERMAN'S proteges, one by one. He’s ultimately got his sights fixed on GABRIEL,"the messenger". Therefore, it would be up to the CORNERMAN to prepare GABRIEL for the battle of his very life. It would be up to GABRIEL, to not only face his demons, but ultimately chase his demons and stand fast, UNPHAZED!
